North, a U.S.-based leader in fintech and payment solutions, is pleased to announce that five of its team members have garnered top honors from the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) for exceptional achievements in the payments industry.
Chris Williams and Marshall McCulloch, both Business Development Directors for North’s National Sales Group, were named to ETA’s 2025 list of Top Payment Sales Professionals, joining the company’s roster of winners from 2024.
Greg Gorman, Vice President of Product Management at North, and Michelle Travers, Director of Relationship Management for Humboldt Merchant Services, were both named to ETA’s “40 under 40” list, which recognizes young, rising stars in the payments industry.
And Senior Learning and Development Trainer Katie Hackney was named by ETA as the CPP (Certified Payments Professional) of the Year.

Learning of his award, Williams remarked, “I’m honored to be recognized as an ETA Top Payments Sales Professional. After nearly 16 years in the payments industry, I’m as excited as ever to play a part in helping people build their careers as they, in turn, help business owners do better business.”
“I am truly honored that my name is on this award,” said McCulloch, “but it is really a reflection of my incredible North coworkers and the talented sales partners with whom I have the privilege of working day in, day out. My achievements are a result of collaboration, support, and dedication — and being a member of such a remarkable team is the real reward.”
Gorman stated of his win: “I am honored to be recognized by the ETA, and I would not be able to accept this without recognizing the teams and leaders that I have worked with over the years. Solving problems and building great products is a team sport, and I have been blessed to work with and learn from amazing and passionate people.”
“I am incredibly grateful to North for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout my journey,” said Travers. “This is a tremendous honor, and it would not have been possible without the opportunities, guidance, and trust I’ve received from this amazing team.”
Of her CPP award, Hackney commented, “I am honored to receive this recognition. The CPP program is near and dear to me; it’s an initiative that I’ve supported for nearly a decade. I have interacted with so many amazing colleagues, friends, and resources along the way — from different companies, teams, and roles within the ETA organization.”

The Top Sales Professionals Awards, which debuted in 2024, recognize 50 individuals from the payments industry, each of them demonstrating exceptional passion and commitment to excellence in the field.
As its name suggests, ETA’s “40 under 40” award turns a spotlight on 40 individuals who are under 40 years old and changing the game in the payments world, recognizing their exceptional efforts to elevate the industry.
The CPP of the Year Award is new for 2025. The award recognizes contributions to elevating and growing the ETA CPP program.
Williams, McCulloch, Gorman, Travers, and Hackney will be formally honored during ETA’s annual TRANSACT event, which takes place in Las Vegas, April 2-4, 2025.
