China Growth Capital Wins “China’s Most Popular Investment Firm Award”

On September 4th 2018, 36kr.com hosted the “2018 Chinese Investors Future Summit” in Beijing where they announced the winners of the top investment firms and investors in China. 36Kr is “China’s top comprehensive service provider aimed at serving innovative tech companies while being the largest ecosystem-based platform”. The award results stem from the careful evaluation of a survey of 3700 venture capital institutions and 800 start-up companies.

During the summit, Haiyan Wu, managing partner of China Growth Capital, gave a speech in Chinese titled “Thoughts and Practices on Enterprise Software Investment”.

“In the last few years, 90% of the world’s total data volume has been generated in China, which is inseparable from the trend of mobilization and smart devices.” – Haiyan Wu

Haiyan introduced three software investment directions: SaaS (Software as a Service), base software (including storage, computing and database), and security software. In terms of base software, the firm is also looking outside of Chinafor the best technology and business models.

Overall, the China Growth Capital team won 7 awards, including the prestigious “2018 China’sMost Popular Investment Firm or Investor with Entrepreneurs” award.
