Embroker, the digital insurance company radically simplifying the insurance buying experience for businesses, today announced the appointment of Andrew (Andy) Lea as Chief Insurance Officer (CIO) and the promotion of Kristy Malm to Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Andy Lea Appointed Chief Insurance Officer
Lea brings more than two decades of insurance experience to his role at Embroker. Beginning his career in insurance as an underwriter, he later went on to fill a series of influential roles at companies like Marsh USA, Swiss Re, AIG and CNA. He most recently served as Chief Underwriting Officer at Vantage Risk.

Lea has successfully launched and operated underwriting platforms for Cyber, Tech E&O, MPL, Law and Accounting E&O, and other professional liability coverage programs, and brings firsthand experience navigating different international markets. He has a proven track record of successfully launching and managing underwriting platforms, driving profitable growth, and mitigating risk. His deep understanding of the insurance industry, combined with a focus on technology disruption and innovation, positioned him as Embroker’s ideal candidate for Chief Insurance Officer.

Kristy Malm Promoted to Chief Operating Officer
Kristy Malm has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Malm, who was previously VP of Operations at Embroker, has been focused on operational excellence, efficiency and continuous improvement. She brings a deep expertise in streamlining operations and a hyper sensitivity in providing impeccable customer experiences.
In this elevated role, Malm will focus on overall customer strategy as well as driving organizational excellence and leading the customer success organization to continue identifying and investing in areas where Embroker can provide industry-best customer support.
