EP Wealth Advisors, LLC, a leading independent registered investment adviser (“RIA”) with an expanding national presence and client base, announces the acquisition of Sloan Investment Management, LLC (“Sloan”). This partnership adds approximately $700 million in assets under management (“AUM”), bringing EP Wealth’s total AUM in the Dallas region to over $1 billion, and $25.2 billion nationwide.
Based in Dallas, TX, Sloan has helped a growing client base toward their financial goals through a customized financial planning strategy, including investment strategies and a focus on the long-term health of the portfolio. Led by Managing Partner Frank Sloan, the firm prioritizes a client-first service model and boasts a deep understanding of local market dynamics, making it a trusted RIA within the Dallas market.
Frank Sloan will assume the role of Regional Director, Partner at EP Wealth and will be joined by Casey Conway and James Henry as Partners/Senior Vice Presidents and Shannen Smith as Vice President. In addition, the support staff of the Sloan team will all be remaining in place.
“EP Wealth partners with firms that share our commitment to delivering an excellent experience to clients, fostering an environment for our employees to build a career and embracing an entrepreneurial spirit that never rests on our laurels,” said Ryan Parker, CEO of EP Wealth. “As we have gotten to know Frank and his team, we are confident that they embody these elements of our culture and are excited to welcome them to our growing, nationwide firm.”
“Partnering with EP Wealth gives us access to significant additional resources to evolve the way we serve our clients, providing both a more robust client experience and growth opportunities,” said Sloan. “We remain dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality financial advice, which closely aligns our goals with EP’s. We are confident that this partnership will enable us to serve our clients in more innovative ways.”
The partnership with Sloan demonstrates EP Wealth’s commitment to strategic M&A growth paired with strong organic results, all while remaining focused on delivering exceptional client service.
“Sloan’s success stems from its dedication to providing exceptional client service and high-quality solutions – both from a planning and investment perspective. Sloan is an excellent fit for EP Wealth, and it is exciting to see EP expand its footprint in the Dallas market because of this new partnership,” said Nick Trepp, Principal at Wealth Partners Capital Group (“WPCG”).
The Sloan acquisition is the third for EP Wealth in 2024 and its 32nd since taking a minority investment from WPCG in July 2017.
