MGT, a vertically AI-native neo-insurer modernizing commercial P&C insurance, today announced the appointment of Garrett Koehn as Senior Advisor to drive strategic distribution expansion and high ROI AI use-cases for the modern insurance era across the United States.

Koehn helped build CRC Group into a leading wholesaler as President of Brokerage, overseeing more than $13 billion in annual premiums and spearheaded strategic initiatives in international markets and fintech integrations. Koehn also functioned as Chief Innovation Officer and President of ExecPro of CRC Group during his tenure.
A pioneer in risk modeling, Koehn developed the industry’s first D&O liability exposure model for public companies while at Marsh in 1994. A year later, he developed some of the earliest frameworks, placing foundational coverage for digital trailblazers such as Yahoo, eBay, and Excite. With over three decades of experience in insurance brokerages, he brings expertise in complex coverage, specifically Private Equity, Cyber, and Intellectual Property, and held underwriting authority from A-rated carriers for multiple specialty lines.
Beyond his operational roles, Koehn is a deeply active figure in the global insurtech ecosystem. He currently serves as a strategic advisor to high-growth insurtech innovators Newfront and Nirvana, helping navigate complex risk landscapes and evolving market valuations in the digital age.
Koehn mentors startups through the Lloyd’s Lab in London, Broker Tech Ventures, and Brown University’s Innovation Lab and serves on the boards of several prominent fintech and insurance capital market firms. He holds an MBA from Brown University and IE Business School, and a Fintech Certificate from MIT.
