RIA Channel, the leading financial services marketing company specializing in connecting asset managers with financial advisors, announced the hiring of two industry veterans, Eric Cott and Marni Dacy. Their extensive industry experience will bolster the firm’s marketing programs across the asset management, advisor, and private wealth ecosystems.
Known for providing data-driven lead generation strategies, augmented with the most robust advisor intelligence and data available, RIA Channel plans to expand its offering to provide even more insights about advisors’ interests and intent with the addition of these new resources. “Bringing Eric Cott and Marni Dacy on board marks a significant step forward for RIA channel,” said Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel and RIA Database. “Eric’s exceptional ability to create transformative events that drive meaningful capital contributions, coupled with Marni’s proven track record in pioneering growth-focused marketing strategies, will elevate our service offerings to new heights.”
Cott is a 30+ year veteran in the industry who has supported, served as, and directed financial advisors through several roles. Most recently, he was the publisher-conference and media sales for Financial Advisor Magazine, where he led the 9th Annual Invest in Women conference this past March. Notably, Eric spent a decade at the Options Industry Council as Director of Financial Advisor Education, where he created the first dedicated education platform helping advisors and their firms to use options more effectively.
Dacy joins RIA Channel following more than a decade in various positions at Nasdaq and Intention.ly, where she spearheaded strategic marketing initiatives for high-performing financial clients. During her tenure at Nasdaq, she pioneered campaigns and forged client relationships to strengthen and expand Nasdaq’s portfolio of products, aiding clients with lead generation, portfolio expansion, and asset growth.
Eric remarked, “Julie and I have collaborated on many projects over the last 15 years, including my participation in her inaugural virtual advisor conference in conjunction with Forbes magazine. This event was an enormous success, and the innovative technology used set a new industry standard for hosting engaging online events. Joining this incredible group, I realize we have a tremendous opportunity to reach more alternative managers and expand our footprint with the next generation of advisors and investment professionals.”
Marni added, “Over the last decade, I have been involved in hundreds of marketing campaigns for clients in the fintech and financial services industries, and I can say without equivocation that some of the most successful ones have been done in partnership with RIA Channel. Julie and her team know the advisor, asset management, and fund space like no other agency, partner, or vendor. Their education-first approach has proven to be a consistent driver of first-rate sales enablement and lead generation that drives revenue for clients. I couldn’t be more excited to join the team!”
