A Fintech company based out of the U.S, Wise has announced that the company has secured $5.7 million through a seed funding round, led by Rexhi Dollaku, Principal, Base10 Partners. The round was also participated by Backed Capital, Two Culture Capital, The Fund, and Abstract Ventures along with notable angel investors like Jonathan Weiner, Inaki Berenguer, Lawrence Chu, and Michael Vaughan. Wise had launched the FDIC-insured business checking account in alliance with BBVA and was followed by this investment round.
Wise was founded two years back in 2018 and has described itself as a fintech firm offering a seamless way of banking, paying, and getting paid to the modern businesses without having to go through any frustration, hassle, or anxiety.
Arjun Thyagarajan, the co-founder and CEO of Wise shared that the businesses and organizations that have chosen to bank with Wise have been able to get a hold of their cash faster in the modern ecosystem of banking that provides users with experiences designed specifically for them.
Arjun further stated that the company will be seen using this investment to continue to develop the platform of Wise.
Rexhi Dollaku gave the concluding statement saying that they believe that the banking experience provided by Wise has the potential of creating a category-defining organization and that they are thrilled to be of help in enabling their providers of online platforms to provide an enhanced banking experience and serving their consumers in a much better way ultimately.
