InvoiceCloud, a leading provider of online billing and digital payment solutions, today announced the appointment of Michael Costonis to its board of directors. Costonis will support the company’s continued growth and strategic focus on the insurance market.
With decades of experience in strategy, innovation, and digital transformation, Costonis most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Global Head of Marketing, Strategy, and Innovation at CNA Insurance, one of the largest U.S. commercial property and casualty insurance providers.
A widely recognized leader in the insurance industry, Costonis previously led Accenture’s global insurance practice as Senior Managing Director, advising many of the world’s largest carriers on digital reinvention, distribution, customer experience, and operational performance. Known for his deep understanding of the evolving insurance landscape, Costonis has helped organizations modernize to meet the expectations of today’s digital-first policyholders.

Costonis is a noted industry speaker and author, with published thought leadership featured in Harvard Business Review. He holds a degree in political science from Swarthmore College and earned certifications from the “Competing in the Age of AI” program at Harvard Business School and “Introduction to Quantum Computing” at MIT.

Costonis’ appointment was sourced through the external board program operated by Vista Equity Partners, a global technology investor specializing in enterprise software and the majority investor in InvoiceCloud. Launched in 2017, the Vista board program leverages its network and resources to identify, train, and appoint qualified board candidates across its portfolio. The program works to create a strong pipeline of highly talented board candidates through programs and partnerships that will drive results for the corporate world at large.
