Metagood, the blockchain technology and digital assets company behind the innovative OnChainMonkey digital art collectible community as well as the Osura marketplace for art on Bitcoin, launched top generative artist Alexis André’s first collection on Bitcoin on July 19, called Frontline. This 10,000-piece digital artwork collection sold out to over 4,000 unique wallet addresses, with over 300 curated collector communities participating in the limited pre-sale before ever opening to a public sale. Frontline is now available for secondary sale on digital marketplaces such as Osura and Magic Eden.

Alexis André’s generative art has gained global recognition, showcased at prestigious events such as Art Basel, Siggraph, and COP26. His works have been featured in auctions at Sotheby’s and Christie’s. Frontline, Alexis André’s first work on Bitcoin, is a 10K generative art collection, created in collaboration with OnChainMonkey, and linked on-chain to OCM Genesis’ Inscription 20219.
“Frontline is my latest long-form generative art collection. I chose to work with Metagood because of their technical innovation, and community’s focus on impact,” says Alexis André. “It took me more or less one year to get to the finish line, and it is a personal journey representing that there is no perfect world. There is no good without bad. What matters is where to draw the Frontline.”

Leveraging the security and longevity of Bitcoin, the highest-value and most secure blockchain, Alexis’ art is rendered live directly from Bitcoin. This process involves inscribing the code that generates the art, ensuring that the creation is completely on-chain. Alexis utilized key features of Ordinals, such as Recursive Inscriptions, Parent-Child Provenance, and satoshi numbers, to express and preserve the art in a unique and meaningful way.
The Frontline collection has various traits, most notably the palettes: 25 in total, 19 of which are directly linked to the OnChainMonkey Genesis fur color. The 6 extra palettes will be quite rare, with a less than 5% chance to mint one. Holders of an OnChainMonkey Genesis were able to influence their Frontline mint by selecting their own Genesis to create their Frontline. Influential traits included: all furs, earrings 3 through 6, and Genesis ID #.
