The producers of the Mobile Payments Conference announced today that Sam Shawki and Nancy Zayed, founders of MagicCube, the creator of the world’s only Software Trusted Execution Environment platform, will be the first-ever recipients of the MPC Visionary Award. The MPC Visionary Award was founded to honor “game-changers” that push the payments industry forward. It will be presented to MagicCube by The Green Sheet’s Dale Laszig, at MPC19, August 26, at the Swissôtel Chicago, in recognition of MagicCube’s hardware-free security platform, which has established an entirely new industry category, representing a new era in payments security.

Recipients of the MPC Visionary Award are identified and nominated by the Mobile Payments Conference executive team led by Executive Director Marla Ellerman and the MPC Board of Advisors, which includes payments industry experts, analysts and journalists. Nomination and selection are based solely on their discretion. Candidates are nominated based on one or more of the following criteria:

- Designing new technology
- Disrupting accepted processes
- Shrinking investment or costs
- Accelerating time to market

The inaugural MPC19 Visionary Award will be presented at MPC19, August 26, 2019, at the Swissôtel, Chicago. The ceremony will be held at 5:20 p.m. in Lucerne I.
The MPC19 Visionary Award will be presented to MagicCube for its hardware-free security solution, which secures digital transactions on any device, in transit and in the cloud with the same level of security as device-based hardware solutions without the complexity and cost.
